A commercial flight simulator release from Matt Shaw, Ted Jump and Hill Manders of Jaeger Software in 1993. One of many releases in this series. It supported oene or two players and vs play. It was released as both a standalone product and as a data disk to be used together with the original release of FIGHTER DUEL PRO. Like the original, you fly combat air patrols (CAP) in WW2 aircraft armed with guns only, in three separate areas located around your carrier base, against 1-2 computer opponents, or against a single human opponent. An analog rudder control has been added (you can still use the mouse), and also an optional rear view, using a second Amiga and monitor connected with a special parallel cable. Scorekeeping and tournament modes have also been added, and there is a simple replay mode, in which you can review the last minute of your flight, from your own viewpoint only. There is a 'turbo' panning function to move around the map quicker, which also has updated scenery. You can play single-player against 1-2 computer controlled pilots, or two human players using modem or null-modem connection, with many WW2 aircraft to choose from. The added bonus of this version was the ability to create realistic, complex motion paths for use with LightWave 3D. Can also generate FDPro demo reels to review flights. Create in minutes an aerodynamically correct flight path that once took years, or a company's logo move that took weeks. Simultaneously records position and attitude information for three aircraft at 30 frames/sec for 45 mins on 9MB system. Motionpaths are then imported into LightWave 3D to animate flying objects, camera viewpoint, aircraft, logos. Control 2nd and 3rd aircraft by computer or via serial port link.
