Overview
Cascade is an arcade video game released in 1978 by the Italian manufacturer Sidam. The game is a dedicated, unofficial bootleg clone of Atari's classic ball-and-paddle game Avalanche.
The gameplay mechanics are identical to Atari's Avalanche.
• Objective: The player controls a set of paddles at the bottom of the screen to catch rows of falling rocks or blocks.
• Mechanics: As the blocks drop from the top, catching them causes the paddle stack to shrink, making successive catches progressively more difficult.
• Control Scheme: It utilizes a rotary dial (paddle/spinner control) rather than a traditional joystick to match the precise horizontal movement required for the game.
