Overview

Initially planned as a parallel release for the MegaDrive and the Amiga, this creation by Phil Thornton from Light Source was intended to be released in December of 1992. Fresh from a marathon 18 month programming term on Putty. Phil Thornton tumed his attention to an officially endorsed 3D racing sim. Although the action revolves around the 15 major international Grand Prix circuits, the game's actually set in the near future. The premise is akin to The Running Man movie, with high-stakes car racing becoming the most popular TV viewing the more dangerous, the higher the ratings. On The upsides The Ferrari license ensured a quality product, and TV studio sequences with actual digitized crash footage will added a chilling edge to the game. Too bad it never saw the light of day outside some demos.
