17 und 4 is basically the great-grandfather of blackjack, one of the most popular casino games in the world. But don't be fooled: this traditional game of chance has its own charm. The goal sounds simple - to reach a card value between 17 and 21 points without going over the magic 21, and do better than the banker\dealer who is the computer. But that's exactly what makes it so appealing: do you risk another card, or do you prefer to play it safe? The card values are the foundation of the game. They are based on modern BlackJack: Ace : Counts as 1 or 11 depending on the situation. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) : 10 points each. Number cards : Count their printed value (e.g. 7 = 7 points). In this game the ace is always 11. This is a freeware game by Roger Fischlin and Marc Fischlin published by Spielekiste (Berlin PD).
