Overview
Stairway to Hell is a 1-player arcade game for multiple systems. The player's task is to guide their character through various caverns to the Earth's core where they must combat the Devil. The player travels through a total of 15 screens to reach the Devil. The game is split into four stages each containing four screens plus the final Devil screen, and the player can choose to practice individual screens. Treasures can be collected to score points. The character can move laterally, climb up and down, or jump. The player starts with three lives, and gains a life for each stage completed. Dangers include mine carts, falling debris, moving platforms, and large rats.
