Conquest

Mediterranean Europe is divided into grid squares. Your aim, as Emperor, is to gain 100 squares of territory as quickly as possible - but at the same time you have to deal with Barbarian counter-attacks on your flanks, which are vulnerable.

For each 5 squares you cover, you are awarded a further legion (maximum 16) to help you in your battle.

The computer directs the Barbarian attacks - and at higher levels you'll have to take on rival Emperors with exactly the same ambitions as yourself!
