Spec Ops: War on Terrorism is a first person shooter flash game developed by Thorsten and released on December 27, 2001. In Spec Ops: War on Terrorism, the player takes control of a soldier who is fighting terrorists and must complete four unique missions. In these missions, the player is armed with three weapons; an M4A1 is the player’s primary weapon, which has 30 bullets per magazine and can be switched to by pressing the 1 key. The player’s secondary weapon is an M9 9mm pistol which holds 15 rounds per clip and can be switched to in a pinch. The third weapon in the game that the player has in their arsenal is an M40A1 sniper rifle which can only be used in the second mission, where the player will have to take wind into account in order to use it effectively. In the first mission of the game, the player attacks a camp full of enemy soldiers and must eliminate them all as they run out of their tents to attack. In the second level, the player has entered a cave and must ambush a group of enemies who are initially facing away from them, some of whom will take cover once fired upon. The third mission allows the player to use the sniper rifle from a vantage point, where they must snipe all enemy soldiers without raising the alarm. In the final mission, the player reaches Bin Laden and can rough him up a bit before he is handed over for capture.
