Overview

Warfare 1917 is an war strategy flash game developed by ConArtists and released on September 19, 2008. In Warfare 1917, the player controls either the British or German army depending on the campaign or custom battle that they are playing. The main objective of the game is to defeat the opposing army by either completely draining their morale meter or filling the progress bar at the top of the screen which is done by advancing allied troops all the way into enemy territory. In the main game mode campaign, the player will unlock new unit types as they advance through the missions as well as acquire XP that goes towards points that can be spent on unit upgrades. Like with many 2D flash strategy games, once in battle, the player can choose which units to train from a bar along the bottom of the screen and each unit has a unique cool down timer with the more powerful units generally taking longer. Commonly found on the battlefields in the game are trenches, which can give the player or their enemy a great advantage by allowing them to send their units into them for cover, making them much more resistant to bullet damage. Each trench can house up to three units at a given time. The player also has access to support weapons such as artillery strikes, which can deal devastating amounts of damage to enemy units and are great from removing enemy soldiers from trenches.
