Five in Line

Overview

Njål Fisketjøn's first program in C, Five in Line is a Go-Moku/Ristonolla style game created in 1994, compiled under Lattice C 4.0 and linked with Blink. This board game is for one player, it is an abstract strategy board game. It is traditionally played with Go pieces n a 15×15 Go board while in this version, it uses a 19×19 board. Because pieces are typically not moved or removed from the board, gomoku or five in line may also be played as a paper-and-pencil game. The game is known in several countries under different names like Ristonolla or the simplified Tic-Tac-Toe.
