Overview

A shareware, AMOS version of Free Cell solitaire created by Perry Rosenboom in 1994. Similar to SeaHaven Towers. FreeCell is the sixth in the package of card games made by Australian developer Perry Rosenboom. The first five were Classic Solitaire from 1992, Tut's Tomb from 1993, Aces Up in mid 1993, Golf late 1993 and Cruel from January 1994. The basic gameplay involves trying to move all 52 cards to the foundations at the top of the screen. In the main play area, they can be stacked down by alternate colour (red 7 on black 8, for example). The unusual thing is the Free Cells at the top of the screen, which can be used as temporary storage locations for the cards. Only one card at a time can be moved, either to another Tableau pile or a cell, but you can use the cells to move multiple cards in what appears to be one move. For example, you can put a black 6 in a cell, move a red 7 onto the black 8, then put the black 6 onto the red 7's new position. If there are empty columns, you can use these to move even more cards, a procedure known as a Supermove.
