Overview
Arcade Soccer is a soccer game. That what distinguish it from among other similar games are its options and the way you execute the game - you must boot it with Shift-Break key pressed. Other way the game will crash. To get to the main menu you need to press spacebar. And here are following options: Cup, Championship or Friendly matches, goalie skill level control, slow/fast game, control of length of play, play against computer, use keyboard or joystick. Additionally you have Weather control to set up the weather during a match, General play formation - either 4-3-3, 3-4-3 or 3-3-4 and Minimum kick distance. On the main screen in the top left corner is a view of the whole pitch showing the positions of all the players. You can set the size of it or even remove it. Next thing that is noticible is a replay when a goal is scored. First is fast rewind in black and white and the screen is displaying a flashing REW symbol then you get PLAY with the goal being scored again slightly slower than before. You can select for a quick replay, a longer one or none at all. Other minor settings are playing speed and the pattern on the ball and when the playing screen is displayed you may change the colour of the pitch and the map. To quit the game you need to press F5 and F6 keys simultaneously. The rest is the same as in real soccer: 22 players, where 11 are under your control, 2 football gates and 1 ball
