This is a one or two player, keyboard controlled quiz game where all the questions are sorts related. It is hosted by Des Lynam, an iconic sports and game show presenter on UK television, who introduces the game and makes comments such as "Oh come on! That was easy!" but does not read the questions. The game claims over three thousand questions covering a wide range of sports from 1960 to 1997. Among the sports featured most are boxing, cricket, football, golf, horse racing, motor racing, rugby (league & union), snooker and tennis but 'minor' sports such as American football, baseball, basketball, chess, cycling, squash, sumo wrestling and yachting and more are also featured. All questions are timed and players must press a key before they answer, Q for player one and P for player two. If the answering player is correct they score points but if they are incorrect they lose points and the question is passed to their opponent who will also lose points if they answer incorrectly. If neither player answers they both lose points. The questions are quite varied and range from 'What year was this?", to solving anagrams and identifying an object from a close-up partial photograph. Some answers are multiple choice, others require a year or a name to be entered and the spelling of names has to be exact. There are two game modes, a short game with thirty-two questions or a long game with sixty-four, played over three rounds with the questions increasing in points value in each round. In round one the players are asked questions in turn, in rounds two and three players 'buzz in' with the 'Q' and 'P' keys as soon as they think they know the answer. The game is quite fussy over its display requirements. Quicktime must be installed, version 2.1.2 is supplied, and the screen must be 640 x 480 with 16 bit colour depth for the game to play. So you think you know sport? Come on then, prove it. Don't just sit there shouting at the telly, see if you're as sharp as you think. The BBC's Mr. Sport Desmond Lynam, is ready to pitch you over 3000 questions featuring video clips, audio extracts and stills from top sporting action. Features: three fast and furious rounds; one player, two player or play in teams; features all major sports.
