Adventure at Windmere Estate

Adventure at Windmere Estate is a text adventure for the Apple II.

The player starts in the rose garden outside Windmere Castle, and must search the estate and its grounds for numerous treasures. This is a text-based adventure game where the player must type VERB NOUN commands. The game has a save/restore feature that allows the player to return to their game. Treasures must then be brought back to the warehouse, and the player is rewarded a score based upon the number of treasures found. The player must score a total of 415 points by gathering all of the treasures, and there are a total of 100 rooms to explore. Blocking the player's path are darkened rooms, vicious rats, and a hedge maze to navigate. The player must take care while exploring, as the wrong move can lead to their death.
