Grand Theft Auto: Vice City: The Nextgen Edition

Revolution Team - we are a team that develops modifications for games of the GTA series.

The current project GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition - a global modification based on the game engine RAGE from GTA IV. This mod is not just another conversion of the city for the next part of the series, but a full-fledged transfer of all missions from the original game. It will provide a completely new gaming experience, thanks to the improved physics and mechanics of the RAGE engine.

The official remaster uses Unreal Engine only for rendering, but the game's physics engine is still the RenderWare engine that was released over 20 years ago with outdated mechanics and animations.

We in turn use the next generation engine. Yes, not the newest version of it, but the only one of those on which it is possible to create such a modification with a full-fledged story. This is the reason for the name of the mod Nextgen Edition.

Also for this reason, do not compare the modification with GTA VI. Firstly, it will be released only in 2025, and secondly, it will be a completely different game, in a completely different city.

Our priority is to transfer the original missions and make the familiar Vice City shine with new colors, and fans of the game had the opportunity to revisit the familiar world and story, but experience new sensations from passing the favorite game.

In addition to the written missions, the game will also have:

- An improved version of the city from the Definitive Edition

- Improved weapons from the Definitive Edition

- All vehicles from the Xbox version of the game

- Models of all characters and passersby from the Xbox version of the game (with improved textures)

- All original radio stations

- Cut-scenes from the original game

- Decoration in the style of the original game

- Neon on buildings from Vice City Stories

- Additional fixes and improvements from Revolution Team

We tried to collect the best of the previous versions of GTA Vice City, properly packaged and released a “remaster”, which is really worthy of this game.
