Junte 4

Overview

Junte 4 (lit. Connect 4) is a puzzle game, originally developed by Devworks Game Technology and published by Tec Toy for the Sega Mega Drive. It was released as a built-in game on several official Mega Drive clones released in Brazil. It was later released for the Sega Master System in 2007, developed by Tec Toy themselves.

As with its literal translation implies, Junte 4 is an adaptation of Connect 4: In this game, players clash themselves against each other in a field to drop smile faces (or just cannon balls in the Master System version) as long they connect four of each piece in a straight row, regardless of being horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Both versions are themed differently: In the Mega Drive version, there is a little resemblance to aquatic themes, while in the Master System version, it is set in a military camp. The two versions also allows the player to select difficulty against the CPU.
