Overview
Black Widow II is a platform game in which the player takes on a mission to "save the Earth from the evil black shadow," progressing through interconnected screens filled with enemies, obstacles, and key-based puzzles. The game features a side-scrolling format with free movement, allowing exploration in multiple directions and the ability to climb ropes. Players can collect and use items to advance, with a limit of carrying two at a time.
Combat plays a central role, as players must engage in gunfights with guards and bombers. The shooting mechanics involve strategic positioning, as enemy attacks can sometimes interfere with bullets mid-flight. A score counter tracks progress, and resource management is required for ammunition and health. Various pickups, such as medikits, extra bullets, and keys, are scattered throughout the levels.
