Impetus

Overview

Impetus is an action-packed, vertically scrolling, retro shooter originally created by Japanese developer Inufuto. Designed for the ColecoVision system, it features classic arcade-style shoot-'em-up mechanics, fast-paced enemy encounters, and a mission to clear the stage by destroying the enemy base.

- The Mission: Players pilot a fighter craft through continuous, vertically scrolling levels. The primary objective is to reach and destroy the main enemy base at the end of each run, while avoiding enemy fire and obstacles.

- Lives/Continues: The game is structured to give you three chances; if your player base is destroyed three times, it triggers a game over.

- Homebrew Origins: The game was released as a homebrew (fan-made, modern independent development) title. It is part of a wider portfolio of classic-style 8-bit games developed by inufuto.
