Cavalos & Peões

Cavalos & Peões (lit. Horses & Pawns) is a table game, developed by Devworks Game Technology and published by Tec Toy. It was released as a built-in game on several Sega Mega Drive models released in Brazil. AtGames released this game outside of Brazil as Fight or Lose, available on multiple editions of Arcade Ultimate with 80 games.

In this game, the player plays the role of a horse chess piece in a chess table and cannot not allow the pawns to reach the other side of the table. The horse can do this by following the rules of chess as usual: Moving two spaces in a straight horizontal line or one space in the vertical rows. In order to capture the pawn, both the horse and pawn must land in the same square; however, all pawns also moves forward at the same time. Letting a single (or more) pawn going onto the opposite side of the table gives the player a Game Over.
