Hexágonos

Overview

Hexágonos (lit. Hexagons) is a puzzle game, developed and published by Tec Toy. It was released as a built-in game on several Sega Mega Drive and Sega Master System models released in Brazil, with native versions for both systems. AtGames released the Mega Drive version outside the country as part of the 40 Bonus Games in 1 multi-cart.

In this game, the player(s) can play a game similar to Othello that involves living organisms as main elements. The field is composed of hex spaces were cells and bacterias ("green" and "red" in the Master System version) clash together to see who gets filled with an unique breed of organisms first (or if there is no more logic moves for a player to do). In order to "convert" an organism(s) to another, the player must move their organism into an adjacent space next to the(m) rival organism. This can be done with B (1 in the Master System version), while C (2 in the Master System version) undoes it in case of a mistake.
