Caveman

Caveman is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro and Electron.

The object is to mine gold, diamonds, and coal from various layers of a mine and bring them safely to the surface — gold and diamonds to the bank and coal to the furnace. The screen is divided into a surface layer and seven mining layers, with a lift and furnace to the left. The player must push their cart onto the lift, mine levels with their cart, and then safely bring their load back to the surface. The player can move between layers by creating a ladder, but the cart can not travel on ladders. The troglodyte will slowly ascend from the bottom, and the player loses a life if they fall off the lift or are caught by the troglodyte. The troglodyte can be destroyed by luring it to the highest level. There are a total of six levels of difficulty.
