The Sorcerer's Kingdom

The Sorcerer's Kingdom is a text adventure game set in a fantasy world where the player aims to defeat the Black Sorcerer for some reason, avoid deadly creatures like sabre-toothed tigers and trolls, and locate magical treasures.

Players move between over 90 locations using cardinal directions or special means such as flying. The game includes item collection, combat with monsters using a blade, and puzzle-solving, such as navigating dark areas with a lamp or escaping marshes with a canoe. Health and score are tracked, and various environmental hazards can reduce stamina or cause death.

The game also includes a modest simulation of randomness and complexity, such as an unreliable compass and situational consequences like falling in darkness or being burned by acid. The player may also encounter scripted events and NPC attacks. Progress can be saved and resumed using the built-in save/load system.
