Ferryman Awaits

The Ferryman Awaits is a text adventure game where players assume the role of Mold, a former dung heaper from the City of Furgle. After joining the Adventurers' Guild, Mold is tasked with defeating the demon Agrogorggan. To infiltrate the demon's castle, Mold poses as a human sacrifice, leading to his capture and imminent execution. The game begins with Mold paralyzed on a sacrificial altar, moments away from death at the hands of a cult priest.

A distinctive feature of the game is its approach to player death. Upon dying, players find themselves in the Valley of the Shadow of Death, a realm they can explore and potentially escape from, provided they possess certain items. This mechanic adds depth to the gameplay, offering alternate paths and solutions.
