Crosswords

Crosswords is a puzzle game where players solve crossword grids by entering words based on provided clues. Each puzzle presents a grid with across and down hints, and players must deduce the correct words to fill in the layout. The structure follows conventional crossword design, with black squares marking the boundaries between entries. Players navigate the grid, select squares, and input letters to complete each word. Clues are shown on screen, and the game supports backtracking and correction as needed.

In addition to solving puzzles, Crosswords includes a built-in crossword creator, allowing users to design their own grids and write custom clues. This editor can be used to produce both standard and more unconventional puzzles.

Some puzzles included with the game diverge from traditional word-based formats. For example, certain grids use mathematical expressions instead of verbal clues, challenging players to solve number-based problems to complete each row or column.
