Gnome Adventure

Gnome Adventure is a text adventure game that takes place in a fantasy world inhabited by gnomes. The story begins with the player character sitting in their garden, surrounded by small red gnomes. A crisis emerges when the fisher-gnomes lose their rods, and the Chief Gnome asks for help in retrieving them. The player explores a wide range of locations, including mushroom patches, union halls, mazes, and gnome villages, all while uncovering a broader quest involving magical items and mythical beings.

Players interact with the game by typing verb-noun commands using a standard text parser. The game world consists of numerous interconnected locations, each described with atmospheric text. Players can move in cardinal directions, collect and use items, and solve puzzles to progress. Specific commands are associated with object interactions such as digging, wearing items, examining the environment, or reading inscriptions.

The game tracks the player’s status and inventory using memory locations, and includes hazards that can result in failure or death, requiring a restart.
