Overview
Harvey Headbanger is a maze game about two characters, Harvey Headbanger and Hamish Highball, competing to dominate a grid-based playfield. Each player moves across an 8x6 grid, coloring tiles in their respective colors—blue for Harvey and red for Hamish. The objective is to encircle the opponent's character with one's own colored tiles. When both characters occupy the same tile, they collide and become temporarily stunned, moving erratically for a short period. Players can collect cocktails that appear on the grid to reduce the duration of this stunned state. These cocktails can only be consumed if they match the player's color and are made available by surrounding an area of the opponent's color.
The BBC Micro version of Harvey Headbanger was released exclusively through the Micronet 800 online service and was not available on cassette or disk. Unlike versions for other platforms, this edition does not include an option to play against a computer-controlled opponent and is strictly two-player only.
