Overview
The Hexagram of Trutania Valley is an adventure game about recovering six pieces of a hexagram to stop an evil count from taking over the valley. Each piece is a triangle, and the player must explore the valley to find and assemble them in the correct order. If a forged piece is used, it causes an explosion that ends the game. The goal is to complete the hexagram and save the valley.
The game is controlled through text commands typed in by the player. Typical input follows a verb-noun format, and the game supports standard adventure verbs such as movement, item manipulation, and inspection. Players can carry up to five items at a time and earn points for collecting and using items correctly, with a maximum score of 500 points.
A candle can be lit to explore dark areas, and some locations contain hazards such as traps, enemies, or environmental dangers. Players can interact with non-player characters and are required to solve puzzles, including using items in specific ways. The game includes full support for saving and loading progress using cassette tape.
The game was distributed as part of the Adventure 4 Pack compilation.
