High School Confidental

Overview

High School Confidential is a text adventure game about navigating the academic and social challenges of high school. Set in John Handley High School in Winchester, Virginia, the player assumes the role of a student aiming to graduate by passing at least six subjects. Each subject offers three activities; completing all three earns an A, while completing one suffices for a passing grade. The game requires careful time management and adherence to school rules, such as obtaining hall passes to avoid suspension.

Players interact with the game through a two-word text parser, entering commands in a VERB NOUN format. The gameplay involves exploring the school, solving object-based puzzles, and completing class activities. There is no save or restore feature, so progress must be made in a single session.

High School Confidential was distributed as a type-in program in SoftSide Magazine's "Adventure of the Month" series.
