Overview
Nutter is an arcade game about intercepting falling bombs before they hit the ground. The player controls a caricatured figure, resembling Adolf Hitler in lederhosen, who moves horizontally across the screen and deflects bombs by headbutting them.
Gameplay is simple and fast-paced, inspired by Activision's Kaboom!, with bombs descending from the top of the screen in increasing numbers. The objective is to prevent them from reaching the ground, which causes damage. A direct hit results in the character exploding into scattered body parts. The game uses monochrome graphics and minimal sound, reflecting its basic design.
Nutter never received a formal release but was widely distributed through the public domain scene. It later appeared on a compilation disk known as "Sicksoft", which included other similarly provocative titles. Its controversial theme attracted tabloid attention at the time, notably from The Sun newspaper.
