Buran

Buran is a two-part space adventure game released in the 1980s for the ZX Spectrum, distributed by Proein Soft Line. The first phase simulates astronaut training aboard the Soviet space shuttle Buran, featuring tasks like cockpit system checks, launch endurance tests, and satellite deployment. The second phase shifts to arcade-style action, where one or two players must fight through nine vertically scrolling levels filled with alien enemies and defense systems. Combining simulation with shoot-'em-up gameplay, Buran delivers a unique blend of realism and sci-fi action inspired by the Soviet space program.
