X-Men: The Arcade Game (Remake Version) [Special Edition]

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

This game is based on the Konami Arcade version created by Zvitor for OpenBOR v4.0. This special edition is completed and is exclusive to Sega DreamCast using DreamBOR engine.

Version 2.01 (Final Version)[2025-09-30]:

* Now contains 3 game modes; The Arcade Mode, The Remake Mode and The Battle Mode

* Added Mr. Sinistro as a selectable character) only in modes; Remake and Battle

* Added new improved music for Remake mode

* Added new high-quality custom cinematics using v2.00 (official) replacing the beta version

* Added intro templates to levels

* Added small differences in game levels between Arcade mode and Remake

* Added custom staff (similar to the arcade version)

* Fixed stage 6 slow-down

* Re-encoded the game scripts, fixing the malfunctions in the DreamBOR v7.1r/v7.2r engine

* Re-located the game files, now the data loading is faster

* Removed 96% of WOKE content ;-) from the previous version

* Unified teams (X-Men, X-Force, eXiles) in a single mode called Remake (also included in battle mode)

Version 2.02 (Fixed Version)[2025-11-15];

* Added 7 selectable characters (5 variants and 2 guests) in Remake and Battle Boss modes only

* Added an additional boss in Battle Mode

* Optimized and reduced [Weight x Quality] the soundtracks (Original / Arrange) and cinemas of the game

* Re-set the level selector in Arcade and Remake modes

* Re-designed the color ballot for sprites, levels, characters and backgrounds

* Reduced the size (weight) of the game

* Re-corrected common bugs from the previous version

* Removed DreamBOR engines v7.2rr and v7.1rr for DreamBOR engines v7.1rrr, now with secure save and no script errors
