Rohak the Swordsman

Overview

Rohak the Swordsman is a text adventure game about a warrior named Rohak who leaves his mountain homeland in search of new experiences. After traveling through deserts and across seas, he settles in the city of Cazanth where he works at an inn. The story takes a turn when Zlonia, a woman he has grown close to, is kidnapped by an evil wizard named Trolez-hiar. Suspected to reside on a remote island, Trolez-hiar is said to offer sacrifices to a dark deity known as Grisor. Rohak sets out to find Zlonia and return with her to the inn in Cazanth.

The game is divided into four sequential parts. Each must be completed in order, and the later parts require a password provided upon finishing the previous section. This structure compensates for the lack of a save/load feature by allowing the player to resume from key milestones.

Gameplay is parser-driven and based on verb-noun commands, with common inputs including directional movement, item interaction, and character communication. The game uses a text-only interface with descriptions displayed in character mode. Puzzles and enemy encounters form the core gameplay, and the player must interpret clues to progress through each part of the story.
