Overview
Roundheads is a turn-based strategy game set during the English Civil War, where players command the Royalist Cavaliers or Parliamentarian Roundheads. The game simulates battlefield tactics across a top-down map, requiring players to maneuver units, manage formations, and engage enemy forces to achieve territorial and strategic dominance.
Each side takes alternate turns, either against another player or the computer. Players select units and issue movement and attack commands on a gridded map that features various terrain types affecting strategy. Victory is achieved by eliminating enemy forces or securing key objectives. The interface supports both keyboard and optional joystick input, and disc-equipped systems can save progress mid-game.
