Raiden II New / Raiden DX

Raiden II New would be best described as an officially licensed, officially produced bootleg, such is the quality of the product. The main casualty on this re-released PCB is the sound hardware, replacing the iconic tunes of the original release with short sampled audio loops of shocking quality.

The equally admired intro sequence is gone, levels 1 and 5 are swapped, and a number of in-game sequences between levels are also absent.

This isn't meant as a demonstration of good play, but mainly to show just how bad this version of the game is. The board is actually a 2-in-1 with a secret method of swapping to a revised version of Raiden DX with equally bad sound.
