Guerrero Solitario

Overview

A very old Spanish arcade game that is a variant of the classic Robotron 2084. The title screen depicts the soldiers of Napoleon's army, but this drawing, apparently, has nothing to do with the gameplay.

The task on each level, limited by a single screen, is to collect six strange reddish objects that resemble rockets in shape (usually there are seven of them in the location); Immediately after that, the transition to the next stage is carried out. The matter is complicated by the presence of several enemies (red men, hiding behind oblique wooden crosses at the time of start, which you should pay attention to as soon as they appear; we play as a greenish individual), as well as obstacles - trees, pieces of brick walls and harmless cannons; It's especially frustrating that enemy sprites can turn their backs, making them difficult to distinguish from the aforementioned plants.

The protagonist has several "lives" at his disposal, quite a large one - 20 pieces, - but in no way replenishable and "given" for the entire game amount of ammunition in the form of balls, with a well-aimed hit, instantly killing adversaries, as well as five special bonuses (also available exclusively in this amount), which allow you to teleport to another area of the screen when activated (this is useful in a sudden collision with an enemy - but for an obvious reason always a little risky). Just in case, we note that opponents do not have the ability to attack the hero from a distance and are not able to move at the same time (if one takes a step, but all the others freeze), - but they move very quickly, and sometimes even "smartly" coordinate their actions with each other, trying to drive us into a trap; The slightest physical contact with them leads to death. To achieve success, it is very desirable to quickly evaluate the "architecture" of the level - each of them, by the way, is always "generated" randomly - and try to use its elements competently for your own purposes (for example, try to hide behind static objects).
