Overview
Wubtris is a Tetris clone developed for the SAM Coupé, offering the option of gameplay for one or two players.
The objective is to score 100 lines or more across all 10 speed settings, with the handicap level set to maximum.
For two players, Wubtris includes a head-to-head game and a more engaging battle mode. In the head-to-head game, the loser is simply the first to lose, with line scores being irrelevant. The battle mode however, adds a strategic twist by allowing players to push their opponent's play area upwards by the number of lines scored minus one. The lines only affect the opponent's area once their current piece is dropped. Any additional lines scored during this time are added to the total, creating a dynamic and competitive experience.
Both game modes can be played as a best of or first to 3, 5, or 7 games, providing flexibility in gameplay.
