Overview
The game features two main modes: Wai-wai Mode, a casual mix of free-for-all and cooperative play, and Versus Mode, in which two teams of two compete in three consecutive mini-game battles without sudden game overs interrupting the action. In Wai-wai Mode, players progress through a series of stages, either four random stages followed by a final stage, or up to six if a special seasonal stage is active. Each stage has a performance threshold that must be met; failing to do so ends the game immediately. In Versus Mode, all three rounds are played regardless of early performance, and victory is decided by the number of coins collected.
The gameplay centers on simple, intuitive ball throws that must hit on-screen targets quickly and accurately, earning coins or completing objectives within a time limit. The mini-games offer surprising variety: players might illuminate falling constellations, hunt colorful marine creatures, mine sparkling gemstones, or fend off UFOs in dramatic, boss-style encounters.
Seasonal stages, which rotate approximately every two months, add themed challenges such as feeding chicks, banishing evil spirits, competing in relay races, or ringing New Year’s bells, with each event available only during specific months.
The game runs on Konami’s e-AMUSEMENT platform but does not support the e-AMUSEMENT PASS card system. While mechanically straightforward, Gashaaaan 2: Refills thrives on variety, timing, and cooperative intensity.
Whether smashing glass bottles to clear a path, striking fast-moving targets, or working together to beat the clock, it delivers a distinctive blend of reflex-based action and quirky charm, wrapped in an energetic cabinet experience that remains a hidden treasure of arcade history.
