Mechanik: NY-IRT

NY-IRT-Mechanik is a Mechanik EN57 modification that brings the simulator to the New York City Subway. Based on the historic Interborough Rapid Transit (IRT) system, the mod recreates the experience of operating an R42 subway train, a classic model that once ran on the J and Z lines of New York.

The route features underground and elevated sections, dense urban scenery, and the fast-paced operating style of the NYC subway. The R42 is presented with a dedicated driver’s cab and adapted physics, giving players the challenge of handling tight schedules, frequent stops, and heavy commuter traffic.

With its distinctive atmosphere and metropolitan setting, NY-IRT-Mechanik stands out as one of the most ambitious international conversions of Mechanik, letting players step into the cab of a New York subway train and experience the energy of the world’s most famous rapid transit system.
