Overview
Shock, released in July 1979 by Taito do Brasil, is a Brazilian solid-state adaptation of the popular Williams Electronics table, Flash.
During the late 1970s, strict Brazilian import laws effectively prohibited the entry of foreign-made pinball machines. To meet local demand, Taito do Brasil (a subsidiary of the Japanese company) began "cloning" successful designs from major manufacturers like Williams, Bally, and Gottlieb. Shock was one such machine, directly modeled after the 1978/1979 Williams hit, Flash.
