Bronze Dragon Side II

Dragon Side II: The Twisted Speare is a series of 10 add-on scenarios for the text-based RPG Bronze Dragon: Conquest of Infinity.

All commands are via menu structures. From the main menu, the player can create a character, gather a party or construct a castle, or start and adventure.

Characters can be Human, Elf, Dwarf, or Halfling. There are 5 classes: Knight, Assassin, ninja, Elder, and Wizard. Players have limited hit points, bronze pieces, and statistics of Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Constitution, and Endurance.

There are 10 new scenarios, and the player must create a castle for the scenario where they define the number of number of levels and rooms. All scenarios start at the Twisted Speare tavern, where the player can speak with the important characters and receive their upcoming quest. To restock supplies, they must return to the Dragon Village in the main game.

In combat, each player and enemy take turns attacking, advancing, retreating, searching, using inventory items, changing equipment, or fleeing from combat. The player can search for traps, secret passageways, or search enemy corpses while in combat. The player must be within appropriate range to strike an enemy, and their are ranged and close combat weapons. For each attack, the player rolls a number that must be above the enemy's defense to score a hit. There are weapon and agility bonuses for each attack.
