Overview
Released in 1979 by Taito do Brasil, Sultan is a Brazilian solid-state pinball machine known as a modified clone of the 1978 Gottlieb Sinbad. Originally featuring four flippers, Taito modified the design to two flippers with lower slingshots to address high ball-loss rates between flippers.
While based on Sinbad, Sultan has a unique Brazilian-produced playfield and cabinet art featuring a Middle Eastern theme. It is a drop-target heavy game, focusing on clearing banks to multiply bonuses.
