Topper

Poor Topper the Turtle. He just wants to liven up things by painting his tiles. But some tiles try to resist, dynamite is trying to blow them up, and rabbits are chasing him (they haven’t forgotten that race). Topper is strongly influenced by, and a variation of, Qbert.*

On the VIC-20, you control Topper with diagonal joystick moves, jumping from tile to tile to change their color. Some tiles will blink and disappear, causing you to fall if you land on them. As levels progress, dynamite appears, hopping around the board, and later rabbits that will knock Topper out if they land on the same tile. Every four levels the difficulty increases.

The game can be played solo or alternating with another player. Once all lives are lost, the game is over.
