Unreal

Unreal is a first-person shooter about Prisoner 849, a convict who survives the crash of the prison ship Vortex Rikers on the planet Na Pali and attempts to escape. The player explores alien settlements and temples, encounters the native Nali, and fights the occupying Skaarj and their machines while piecing together the fate of the world.

Players navigate large, interconnected levels, collecting weapons and items, reading in-world messages with a translator device, and engaging enemies with hitscan and projectile weapons. Movement emphasizes strafing and vertical navigation through lifts and passages, with secrets and optional detours throughout. Multiplayer supports network play with deathmatch and cooperative modes in separate maps or the main campaign.
