Overview
Taiko no Tatsujin: Green Version is a Taiko no Tatsujin arcade that was released on March 14, 2019. It supersedes the Blue Version.
It was superseded by Nijiiro Version on March 24, 2020.
Green version carried over most of the gameplay modes and function from the previous arcade version, as such, core gameplay is identical.
The performance battle mode from the Blue Version was removed from the arcade's launch, and is replaced by the AI Battle Performance mode that put donder to play against AI Don who mimics donder's taiko drum skill.
Unlike performance battle mode which is health-based, AI Battle Performance mode determine result by score, combo, combo timing and number of drumrolls. During a songplay, a song's notechart was split into 5 segments. As AI Don will always mimic donder's more recent skill, AI Don will become harder to beat as donder is getting more experienced.
The one who have better scores in 3 of 5 segments or more wins.
Story:
One day, Don wakes up and finds himself in a futuristic laboratory.
The owner of this very laboratory is a girl named Makina, who came from the year 2765. She come to the present time so Don can helps her testing out her newest creation, AI Don, as well as helping Don to become the strongest donder.
A living Taiko drum and a robotic doppelganger, both aims to be the strongest donder, began their Taiko battles...
