Overview
Bumper Pool was a pinball machine manufactured by D. Gottlieb & Co. with a billiards theme in June 1969. It is the Italian "add-a-ball" export version of Gottlieb's Mini Pool, another pool-themed table from the same year. Approximately 2,150 units were made for the Italian market.
Due to strict Italian gambling laws at the time, the machine lacked the word "flipper" on the apron and flippers. It also used a turret shooter for awarding extra balls (WOWs) so that the machine, rather than the player, launched the "free" ball.
