Overview
Bosk One is a 1-player arcade game for the TRS-80.
The player controls a small space fighter tasked with destroying 9 enemy bases. The player's ship can move in 8 directions, and fires simultaneously backwards and forwards. Waves of enemy ships approach from off screen to attack the player, and incoming vessels and bases can be spotted on the ship's radar. An asteroid field at the top of the playfield allows the player to hide from enemy combatants. Enemy bases can only be destroyed by a direct hit from the top or bottom, and they fire a seeking missile that chases the player if they venture too close. If all 9 bases are destroyed, the player advances to a harder challenge. The player has limited laser energy, and can overheat if they fire too vigorously. The player has 5 ships, and it's game over if all are lost.
