Panga

Overview

Panga is a puzzle game and a tongue-in-cheek parody of the “adult computer manga” concept popular in 1980s Japan and the pc88 platform.

The player assumes the role of Kind Man, whose task is to collect all the dust scattered through a series of mazes.

Each level presents a grid-like maze viewed from above. Stepping on a tile cleans it but renders it impassable, forcing the player to plan a single continuous route that gathers all dust without getting trapped.

Kind Man can jump over a single block once per stage, letting the player bypass an obstacle or recover from a dead end. Players can also gamble their life in a roulette for extra chances.

Between stages, abstract collage images and poetic text appear, blending live photography with computer art.
