Overview
Doom was the first homebrew game written for the NUON which was capable of exceeding the platform's 4.5 MB object limit, by including its own CD driver along with a pre-existing RAM disk driver. It includes optionally compiled support for the RCA and Samsung N504 and N505 NUON models which include the faster Aries 3 processor, allowing for a framerate on par with a basic PC.
Due to memory and licensing limitations, the NUON port is only capable of playing the shareware wad file, which is included in its distribution.
