Sonic the Hedgehog: Nature Islands

Sonic the Hedgehog: Nature Islands is an extensive in-progress overhaul ROM hack of Sonic the Hedgehog developed by MrLordSith. It aims to create a new setting that puts a twist on an underutilized motif from the original Sonic the Hedgehog games. Whereas those games loosely featured a theme of nature versus technology (especially the first game prior to its Zone order shifting mid-development), Sonic Nature Islands explores an alternate dynamic by uniquely featuring natural enemies (rather than Badniks) defined by their invasive and parasitic nature.
