Overview
Released by Bally Manufacturing Co. in September 1972, Space Time is a classic four-player electromechanical pinball machine. Designed by Jim Patla with iconic artwork by Christian Marche, it is centered around a science fiction time-travel theme.
The machine's standout feature is a "Time Tunnel" under the playfield. Using a "flash motor" mechanism, a light cycles through values from 1,000 to 5,000 points. Players aim to stop the tunnel on the highest value (5,000) by timing their plunge. Once a value is set, it can be collected via the center lane, center standup target, or the left-side kickback lane.
Approximately 5,000 units were produced. A two-player version of the same game was released under the name Time Zone.
