Overview
Raven-7 & Submarine Command are two 1-player arcade games for the Apple II.
In Raven-7 the player controls a plane that can be controlled from the side and from the top, but not simultaneously. The player switches between the two views, and can only move in one dimension at a time. Alien saucers appear one at a time, and slowly shoot at the player. The player receives 1 point for each saucer shot down. The ship has a fuel gauge which ticks steadily downwards, and fuel tanks can be obtained in the side view, while taking care to avoid crashing into the ground. The player has 3 planes, and when all are lost, it's game over.
In Submarine Command! the player navigates a submarine though a cave from a side view. The player must avoid crashing into the cavern walls or running into mines which float up slowly from their anchor point on the bottom. The player gains a point for shooting the mines with a torpedo. There is a limited supply of fuel and torpedoes, and these must be obtained by collecting resources on the cavern floor. The player starts with 3 lives.
